A New Direction for Perodia TCG: From 3D Worlds to Card Battle Glory

We’ve got thrilling news to share — and it’s a big moment in the journey of Perodia TCG. As a small indie studio, one of our greatest strengths is agility. We can listen, learn, and adapt quickly — and today, we’re excited to tell you about a major shift that will elevate both the Perodia Trading Card Game and the upcoming 3D RPG.

Why the Change?

Creating the world of Perodia has been a labour of love. Our artists have poured incredible passion into the hand-drawn card art — from the shimmering Noble Gas wizards to the ferocious Transition Metal wolves and the mythic Lanthanide-Actinide dragons. But here’s the honest truth: maintaining a consistent 2D art style across hundreds of cards, from Commons to Mythicals, has proven a challenge.

We realised that as our card roster grows — with Elees, Moleks, Orbs, Equipment, and Events — redrawing each one for balance, corrections, and updates simply isn’t sustainable. More importantly, Perodia is evolving beyond just a card game.

Inverting the Pipeline

So, we’re flipping the script:

First, we build stunning 3D models of the Perodia characters and creatures.
Then, we render those models into high-quality, cohesive 2D card art.

This means the Actino dragon you see roaring in a card battle will be the same one you encounter, fight, and ally with in the upcoming 3D RPG version of Perodia. Not just art consistency — world consistency.

What Does This Mean for You, the Players?

🌟 More immersive, unified lore: The life forms of Perodia — from jellyfish-like Alkali Metals to ape-like Post-Transition Metals and insectile Halogens — will come alive with dynamic, animated models that enrich both the card game and RPG.

🎨 Striking, consistent card visuals: No more style shifts between artists or card batches. You’ll see cohesive artwork across all rarities — Common (green), Uncommon (blue), Rare (purple), and Mythical (gold) — capturing the beauty and danger of the periodic realm.

⚔️ Direct crossover between games: Imagine unlocking an Actino in the RPG and seeing it added to your TCG deck. That’s where we’re heading — a connected Perodia universe where your victories in one realm empower you in another.

A Sneak Peek: Actino in the Forge

We’re thrilled to share a first glimpse at Actino, our in-progress 3D model of the fearsome dragon representing the Lanthanides and Actinides (AL group). This dragon isn’t just a static card image — it’s a living creature, breathing radioactive power, ready to burn across the battlefield and leap into the RPG world.

What’s Next?

We’re hard at work converting more creatures and Elees into 3D assets and refining our rendering pipeline. Booster packs, evolution systems, rarity identifiers, and the energy-driven gameplay you love will all continue — but now with the backing of a richer, multi-platform visual experience.

We’re committed to making Perodia not just a game, but a universe you can explore, collect, and conquer across formats.
